This wiki has been set up to show students some of the possibilities for using a wiki in a primary or secondary classroom.
Some of the most common ways in which wikis are used in school classrooms include:
as a class web site, for publishing work that a class has been doing
as a project site, where students use a wiki to publish their project
as a digital portfolio, where each student has their own page within the wiki, where they store pieces of work and reflect on the learning that they did to produce those pieces of work.
One of the best features of a wiki however is probably its least used feature in the classroom - a space where people can collaboratively build knowledege, where each member of the wiki can edit the pages within the wiki. Imagine having children in different locations publish a wiki jointly - think of the possibilities for collaborative learning.
